Project Management and Implementation

Once the design has been approved, the build phase can begin. Francoise can be on site to ensure that landscaping and planting work conducting by us, or by any contractor, is carried out as per our specifications.

Part of the strength of the Greenmantle ethos is our involvement from start ot finish in the projects we undertake. We can even arrange for, or undertake some of the routine aftercare ourselves. We always enjoy passing on our skills and expertise to clients.

Works may include the demolition and dismantling of existing structures and excavation to create level changes before the installation of new features... The garden may potentially look worse before it looks better - this is part of the process and won’t last long!

We work with a range of different contractors - always finding the most suitably experienced local team to meet the needs of your project. By entrusting us to supervise the build phase, our clarity of vision ensures the full potential of the garden design concept is realised on the ground.

… Your garden is an investment in creating an exceptional leisure facility for family and friends, all your round - including in winter when it is a living tableau to look out on from the house. Attention to detail is key during the execution.

We take the time to liaise with several trade suppliers when selecting plant material, and include semi-mature specimens to provide instant structure. We often plant bulbs and herbaceous perennials, leaving room for growth and new pleasures from your garden in the coming years.

We bring over 25 years of hands-on plant expertise to ensure that flowers, trees and shrubs, are all planted with care, and where necessary protected and given adequate nutrition to thrive in their chosen location.

Our work may include site visits to thin, prune, mulch and feed planted areas, ensuring continuity of care and to maximise the beauty of the planting scheme.
